Since 2017, I’ve focused my practice on outpatient office psychotherapy (or you may call it therapy, or counseling). I see individuals (not couples or families) who are 21 years old or older.

Through years of experience and continuing education, I’ve developed skills to address a wide range of mental health matters. Examples include but are not limited to:

  • nervousness and anxiety
  • panic attacks
  • stress management
  • adjustment to life stressors and changes
  • frustration
  • conflict and indecision
  • depression
  • grief
  • relationship issues
  • esteem concerns

My training and work is based in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but I draw from a variety of different theories and therapies in an effort to find what best suits the individual I’m working with. I prefer to take a “team approach” with you that includes open communication and feedback between us.

I see psychotherapy as an active process on both my part and yours. With clear communication, understanding of each other’s goals and intentions, and general cooperation the entire process works better. Yes, it can be challenging and emotionally provoking – often that’s part of the process. We’ll seek solutions, and at a reasonable pace.

I only offer in-person sessions, so no telehealth. I don’t work with children, nor substance use/addictions.

Your first appointment will involve minimal paperwork. Nothing to do ahead of time. No need to show up early. I will want to learn a bit about your life history and experiences, but will do my best to focus on the reason you’ve come in.
